About This Website

This website is mainly about the Gulf of Corryvreckan and the infamous whirlpool which lies within it, as well as the wildlife that can be found in and around the gulf.

The gulf lies off the west coast of Scotland, in-between the uninhabited island of Scarba and the larger, more famous Isle of Jura.

You can  read more about the gulf  and view diagrams of the sea bed and whirlpool within this website - for example on the  About  page.

In the slide shows, a range of my photography is presented, including coastal pictures, photos taken during both the day and night, and wildlife shots.

Some of the  wildlife pictures  are also included within the main pages of this website - useful for website visitors that do not have a very fast broadband internet connection.
